ABOUT THE BRAZIL´S UNIVERSITY

I would like to travel to Brazil, I want to study in Brazil. In Pernambuco University Masters in Education. This Master has a line of study: specific didactic content, theory and history and theory of education, educational policy, planning and management of education, teacher training and pedagogical practice.



Founded on August 11, 1946, the University of Recife call (UR) conjugated at that time the Faculty of Law of Recife, the Pernambuco School of Engineering, the Faculty of Medicine of Recife - with schools of dentistry and pharmacy attached - School of Fine Arts of Pernambuco and the Faculty of Philosophy of Recife.

After 19 years, the UR group is integrated into the federal institutions of the new education system of the country and is called Federal University of Pernambuco (OPCU). In 1948, construction began on the campus universitário, arquitetónico project which was developed further by the Venetian architect Mario Russo.

Federal University of Pernambuco (Portuguese: Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, UFPE) is a public university located in Recife, Brazil, established in 1946. UFPE has 70 undergraduate courses and 175 postgraduate courses.

The university has three campuses: Recife, Vitória de Santo Antão and Caruaru. Its main campus, or "Cidade Universitária", has 10 centers in 149 hectares. It is located in the west part of Recife,in the Várzea neighborhood. 

UFPE has been elected twice as the best university of north and north-east Brazil by Guia do Estudante (a national university ranking magazine) and Banco Real (ABN AMRO).

Each year over 6,000 seats are offered in a competitive entry exam (Vestibular). The median and average competition rate is of about 10 applicants for each seat.

Reglus Paulo Neves Freire (Recife, Pernambuco, September 19, 1921, São Paulo, May 2, 1997) Brazilian educator. Law student at the University of Recife, other studied philosophy and psychology of language while at the University of Pernambuco and began his work as a professor at the University of Recife, a professor of history and philosophy of education. I work mainly among the poor who can not read or write. Paulo Freire inspired the creation of the Faculty of Education, University of Pernambuco.
